Universal meter YT-73089 with TRUE RMS function and automatic range for each measurement. It enables basic and advanced measurements of electrical quantities. Popular housing, small dimensions and a large backlit display combine high mobility with comfort of work. The speed, accuracy and repeatability of indications of the multimeter is due to the modern design of the control board and high-quality measuring probes, the size and precision of which will be appreciated by both hobbyists and professional service technicians. The square wave signal generator will help, for example, in the diagnosis of headphones or loudspeakers, and a special setting of the current measurement in microamperes will allow you to test various types of sensors, e.g. flame sensors in HVAC devices.

MEASUREMENT ACCURACY
An example of determining the accuracy for the measurement of AC voltage. Calculation for the measurement result: 235V
The accuracy of the measurement of the YT-73096 meter for this range is: ± (1.0% + 3), resolution 0.1V
calculation of measurement error formula: (measurement result x 1.0%) + 3 x resolution
calculations: (235 x 1.0%) + 3 x 0.1 = 2.35 + 0.3 = 2.65V
The actual result, taking into account the measurement error, for the reading of 235V = 235 ± 2.65V
result taking into account the measurement error for the DC voltage measurement indication: 12V = 12 ± 0.09V
result taking into account the measurement error for the indication of the alternating current intensity: 8A = 8 ± 0.15A
The table with the resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the user manual.
BUILT-IN FUNCTIONS
TRUE RMS – a meter with this function calculates the real effective value of AC voltage and current for both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms. The device first measures the real value of the sine wave in several time intervals → then squares the measurement results → sums them up → calculates the mean → and finally the mean result takes the square root. The measurement result is a real RMS voltage / current, even for a deformed sinusoid or square wave.
Signal generator – by setting the knob to generate a signal, the meter will generate a square wave with a frequency of 50 to 5000Hz. The signal can be used, for example, in speaker diagnostics.
AUTO – automatic adjustment of the measuring range. If you measure unknown values with a handwheel manual ranging, take measurements sequentially from the largest range up to the range giving the most accurate result – otherwise you risk damaging the device. However, in the case of a multimeter with the AUTO function, it is enough to take one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. By default, the meter starts in the AUTO mode
RANGE – manual change of the measuring range. A useful function when checking many of the same components with a known value, e.g. a series of resistors. Manual range setting will significantly reduce the time of such measurements
SEL – change of measurement mode, e.g. from AC to DC voltage measurement
DATA HOLD – saving the currently measured value on the display
